An engaging learning tool in your classroom and an elegant addition to your Science Cave!

The Galileo Thermometer can be used to demonstrate temperature’s affect on density.  Crafted from rich wood and adorned with intricately designed glass balls, this Galileo thermometer exudes a sense of timeless elegance. The precisely weighted glass balls rise and fall within the liquid-filled tubes to indicate the temperature with remarkable accuracy, making it an educational and engaging piece. The combination of wood, glass, and precision craftsmanship ensures that you’re investing in a high-quality piece that will retain its beauty and functionality for years to come.

The thermometer ingeniously measures temperature by expanding liquids and floating spheroids.  The density of each individual spheroid has been adjusted to correspond exactly with the density of the supporting liquid at the designated temperature.  The six spheroids float at low temperatures and sink at temperatures ranging from 650 TO 900 F in increments of 500 F.  Warm the thermometer prior to class and allow the spheres to drop as the water cools to room temperature.  Can be used as a tool to illustrate, demonstrate, or generate questions and discourse.
